How does User Interface Design and usability influence mobile Indoor-Navigation in Augmented Reality?

For my Bachelor Thesis in 2017 I have created a concept for an Augmented Reality Indoor Navigation Application.
This smartphone app can be used by people to navigate inside of closed rooms (e.g. Supermarkets, Offices, Libraries, etc.).

The thesis was about investigating which navigational elements intuitively lead users, how they should look and how they should be placed.
Those elements were compared and rated in different categories, which lead to a conclusion.

Under the aspect of wayfinding design a concept for the app was finalized, then drafted up and mocked up with Marvel App (click-through-dummy).
Afterwards, a Virtual Reality walkthrough was created to further visualize how the app would look like in theory and how users can be guided through an office.
