After realizing that I haven't picked up a pen and simply drawn something on a paper in a while I decided to do so. However, I did not want it to be something random and meaningless. It also wasn't supposed to be a stand-alone image but more of a collection piece.
Inspired by the Aztecs and the Maya culture I came up with a series of warrior-like figures. Especially attracting are the very bright colors that continuously follow the same color tone. Also very eye-catching are the geometrical shapes and the resulting sculptural effect that are given to the figures. On purpose, I decided to choose a very simple white background in order to keep any distractions away from the focus of simplicity.
In the end I did enjoy this little project very much and am planning on doing similar ones in the future to strengthen and enhance skills like creativity and imagination.
